Death Of Sr. Regis O’Doherty, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness and regret that we learned of the death, today Saturday 11th September 2021, of Sr. Regis O’Doherty, Presentation Convent, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly Ballyhurst, Templenoe, Tipperary Town, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by her sister Teresa (Heffernan) and her brother Michael; Sr. Regis passed away while in the loving care of her Community and Carers.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her Presentation Community and Congregation, her sisters Sr. Colette (Presentation Convent, Clonmel), Ann (Hanly) and Lily (Ryan), her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Sr. Regis will repose in the Presentation Convent Chapel, Thurles, on tomorrow afternoon, Sunday, September 12th, for family and close friends from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
Requiem Mass will take place on Monday at 12:00 noon in the Convent Chapel, followed by interment immediately afterwords in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Covid-19 Cases Reach 2,890 On Irish Mainland Today.

The Department of Health has confirmed 1,466 new cases of Covid-19, in the Republic of Ireland, over the past 24 hours.

The number of people in hospital with the virus stands at 311, while the number of people in ICU stands at 58.

Meanwhile in Northern Ireland, a further 1,424 Covid-19 cases were confirmed within the past 24 hours, with sadly a further 3 deaths recorded over the same period.

The Chair of the Irish Epidemiological Modelling Advisory Group Professor Mr Philip Nolan has stated that the incidence rate of Covid-19, while still very high, has decreased over the last fortnight, and the numbers of people in hospital and ICU have stabilised.

Vaccination continues to offer the best protection against the most severe effects of COVID-19, including hospitalisation and death.

Death Of Sean Gleeson, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness and regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Friday 10th September 2021, of Mr Sean Gleeson, Walkinstown, Dublin and formerly of McDonagh Square, Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mr Gleeson passed away peacefully at Tallaght Hospital.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Caroline, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

The earthly remains of Mr Gleeson will repose in Kennedy’s Funeral Home, Borrisoleigh, Thurles, tomorrow evening Sunday, September 12th, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm for family and close friends.
The body of Mr Gleeson will be received into the nearby Church of the Sacred Heart, Borrisoleigh, Thurles on Monday morning September 13th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed immediately afterwards by interment in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service for Mr Gleeson, but are unable to do so, due to current virus restrictions; same can be viewed online HERE.

Death Of Joe Bradshaw, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness and regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Friday 10th September 2021, of Mr Patrick Joseph (Joe) Bradshaw, Bunnacurry, Achill, Co. Mayo formerly of Thurles Co. Tipperary.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Kitty, sister Anne (London), nieces, grand nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

The earthly remains of Mr Bradshaw will repose at Lavelle’s Funeral Home, Cashel South, Achill, Co. Mayo on Sunday evening, September 12th, from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.
The body of Mr Bradshaw will be received into the Church of St. Joseph, Bunnacurry, Co. Mayo, on Monday morning, September 13th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed immediately afterwards by interment in the local cemetery.

Death Of Kitty Butler, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness and regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Friday 10th September 2021, of Mrs Catherine (Kitty) Butler (née Ryan Ned Glenaneigh), Coumnagella, Curreeny, Kilcommon, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by her baby infant daughter Mary, her parents, Alice and Patrick, brothers Timmy, Michael and Jim, her sisters, Nellie, Alice and Sr. Mary Bonaventure; Mrs Butler passed away peacefully at her home.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving husband P.J., immediate family; Nora, Gerard, Mary, Kathleen, Breda and Dolores, daughter-in-law Cora, sons-in-law Paudie, Seamus, Paddy and Seamus, 21 cherished grandchildren, brothers Ned and John, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, Connie, Alice and all her carers, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her body will be received into the Church of the Little Flower, Curreeny, Lacken, Templederry, Co. Tipperary, on Monday Sept. 13th to further repose for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon.
Interment will take place immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
