It is with great sadness and regret that we learned of the death yesterday, Sunday 3rd October 2021, of Mrs Chriss Long (née Brett), Glenreigh, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by her husband Tommy and her grandchild Aisling O’Reilly; Mrs Long passed away peacefully, at her place of residence, following a long illness; surrounded by her loving family.
Her passing is most deeply regretted by her immediate family, sons Tom, Jerry, Sean and Jim, daughters Bridget and Margaret, her sons-in-law Ollie and Evan, daughters-in-law Tess, Bríd, Janice and Pamela, grandchildren, brother, Phil Brett, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Long will repose at her home (E41C665) on tomorrow Tuesday, October 5th.
Her body will be received into the ancient Abbey Church, at Holycross, Thurles, to further repose for Requim Mass on Wednesday morning at 11:30am. Interment will take place immediately afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, (old Cemetery Holycross).

It was with great personal sadness that I learned of the death, yesterday Sunday 3rd October 2021, of Mr William (Bud) Hodgins, Glenbreeda, Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Mr Hodgins passed away peacefully while in the care of care of staff at Nenagh Hospital, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret and brother Adam; his passing is most sadly missed by his sons and daughters, Marie (McMullin), Theresa (Doolan), William, Frances (Stapleton), Evelyn (Lyons) and Kieran, sons-in-law Frank, Francis, Tom and Ger, daughters-in-law Yvonne and Marian, his 14 grandchildren, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephew William Hodgins, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Hodgins will repose on tomorrow evening, Tuesday October 5th, at Stapleton’s Funeral Home, Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. On Wednesday morning, October 6th, his body will be received into the Church of the Sacred Heart, Borrisoleigh, Thurles at 10:40pm to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am. Mass will be followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his wife Elizabeth (Lila), parents William and Alice, his brothers Seamus, Hugh and Patrick; Mr Ryan passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at the Community Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
His passing is most sadly missed by his sister Kathleen, his brother John, sister-in-law Brenda, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

The Department of health has confirmed 1,051 new cases of Covid-19 over the past 24 hours here in the Republic of Ireland.
There are 319 people with Covid-19 being treated in hospitals around the country up 21 from yesterday; of whom 60 of these patients are being treated in our intensive care units; an increase of 4 on yesterdays reported figures.
Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland, a further 892 cases of the virus have been confirmed by their Department of Health in the last 24 hours. Sadly, 2 more coronavirus related patients have died.
Coronavirus figures confirmed north and south on the Irish mainland, over the past 24 hours, total 1,943.
Please Remember: Vaccination continues to offer the best protection against the most severe effects of COVID-19, including hospitalisation and death.

Mrs Carty passed away peacefully at her place of residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Her passing is most sadly missed by her husband and best friend Brian, immediate family Vivienne, Ivan and Eric, grandchildren Macdarach, Osgur and Leonorah, sister Margaret, brother Michael, son-in-law Daithì, daughter-in-law Yumiko, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Dublin, on Monday morning, October 4th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 10:00am, followed by interment in Ardla Cemetery, Skerries, Co. Dublin.
