Meet Grainne and Derek, the brand new Mr and Mrs Shelly from Thurles, Co Tipperary, who were married recently at the beautiful historical Abbey of Holycross , Co Tipperary.
The couple are lucky to belong to families well known to hold a passion for music and song, as well as being wonderful singers and musicians. It is not surprising therefore that family members came together to perform and give a most enjoyable recital, as part of Grainne and Derek’s marriage ceremony.
A large party of guests attending the wedding accompanied the bride and groom to that amazing Tipperary mountain side venue overlooking the Galtee Mountains, Aherlow House Hotel where they were entertained later to a lavish reception in true Aherlow House fashion.
The couple later slipped away, on honeymoon to a secret destination.
(Well, truth is, I do know the name of their exotic destination, but it would be more than my life is worth, to reveal any such information, at this time. My lips are sealed, but they will be back with the photographs shortly, you just wait and see.)
A video recording of the days events were undertaken by top videographer Pat Corbett
Seriously, Grainne and Derek, thanks for a lovely day and everyone in Tipperary sends you their love and best wishes for the future.
