Death Of Lizzy Maher, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Sunday 1st June 2025, of Mrs Elizabeth (Lizzy) Maher (née O’Halloran), Coolcroo, Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Lattin, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her husband Edward (Neddy), brother Michael (Mickie), sisters Maureen (Kavanagh), Eileen (Maguire) and Patricia (Hanley); Mrs Maher, sadly, passed away unexpectedly, while in the care of staff of Fennor Hill Care Facility, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; daughter Ann, sons Martin and Dermot, grandchildren Ciarán, Diarmuid, Enya, Fionn, Aoibheann and Sean, son-in-law Richie (Whelan), daughter-in-law Norah, sister Joan (O’Donoghue, Lattin), nephews, nieces (especially Sean and Eimear), brothers-in-law Michael (Maguire) and Pat (Hanley), extended relatives, the Greyhound community, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Maher will repose at the residence of her son Dermot, Coolcroo, Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles (Eircode E41 YT10) on Tuesday afternoon June 3rd, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm same evening.
Her remains will be received into the Church of St James, Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles on Wednesday morning, June 4th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards in nearby Two-Mile-Borris Cemetery, Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Sadie-Mai O’Dwyer, Formerly Of Clonoulty, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, today Sunday 1st June 2025 of Ms Sarah (Sadie-Mai) O’Dwyer, Ré Nua, Our Lady’s Hospital Campus, Cashel, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Ballycamus, Clonoulty, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her parents Roger and Kathleen, sisters Kathleen and Mary and brother-in-laws Michael, Christy and Seamus: Ms O’Dwyer passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; brother MJ, sisters Joan, Anna, Eileen, Breda and Geraldine, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, residents/staff at Ré Nua, (especially Bridget and Declan) neighbours and friends.

Her remains will be received into the Church of St. John the Baptist, Clonoulty on Tuesday morning, June 3rd, at 11:30am to further repose for Requiem Mass, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in Clonoulty Old Cemetery, Clonoulty, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Saturday 31st May 2025, of Mr Patrick (Paddy) Butler, Ballynonty, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his wife Peggy, parents, brothers and sisters; Mr Butler passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; son William, daughters Patricia, Margaret and Helen, daughter-in-law Christine, sons-in-law Padraic, Michael and Paddy, grandchildren Clare, Owen, Aimee, Dillon, Caoimhe, Megan, Laura, Aoibhe, Adam, Alex, Noah, Kara, great grandchildren Darragh, Ada and Teidí, sister Ann, brother Anthony, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Saturday 31st May 2025, of Mr Patrick (Paddy) Whelan, Castlefogarty, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Patrick and Bridget, wife Bridie, son Seamus and sister Carmel; Mr Whelan passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; daughters Teresa and Marie, son Pat, son-in-law Paddy, daughter-in-law Joanne, adoring grandchildren Cait, Aine and Daniel, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, June 3rd, at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in Ballycahill Cemetery, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Josie Doherty, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Thursday 29th May 2025, of Mrs Josie Doherty (née Tierney), Hillview Drive, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Blakefield, Gortagarry, Toomevara, Co. Tipperary.

In her 90th year and pre-deceased by her husband Martin and brother Tom; Mrs Doherty passed away peacefully following a short illness, while in the care of the staff at Tipperary University Hospital.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; daughters Mary-D (Ryan) and Geraldine (Hassett), sons Liam, Declan and Adrian, sons-in-law Tom and William, adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Maria, Martina and Fiona, sisters Chris (Spillane), Eileen (Tierney) and Breda (Halloran), nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law Jane, Bridget and Pam, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.
