Death Of Denis Jordan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Tuesday 25th February 2025, of Mr Denis Jordan, The Derheen, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

In his 85th year and pre-deceased by his parents Joseph and Mary, sisters Delia and Kay; Mr Jordan sadly passed away, following a short illness.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; brother Joseph (Thurles), sisters Mary Daly (Thurles) and Ann McGee (Lucan), nieces, nephews, neighbours, close friends and his beloved dog Lassie.

A private Cremation Service has already taken place, following the personal wishes of Mr Jordan.

Death Of Willie Tobin, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Thursday 27th February 2025, of Mr William (Willie) Tobin, Magoury, Drangan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly Kildalton, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny.

Pre-deceased by his loving parents Ellen and William and brother Pat; Mr Tobin passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at South Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, surrounded by his loving family.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family;loving wife Frances, son Alan and partner Emily, grandchildren Isabelle and Evan, brothers Jerry and Frank, sisters Bridie and Geraldine, sisters-in-law Barbara, Margaret, Mary, Finola, Noreen and Helen, brothers-in-law John, Jack and Ian nieces, nephews, Extended relatives, neighbours and friends, (including comrade members associated with the Suir Valley Vintage Club).

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Tobin will repose at Brett’s Funeral Home, No. 6 Kickham Street, Mullinahone, Thurles, on Saturday afternoon, March 1st, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm same evening.
His remains will be received into the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Drangan, Thurles, to further repose for Requiem Mass on Sunday morning, March 2nd, at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in the adjoining graveyard.

Death Of Jim Halloran, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Thursday 27th February 2025, of Mr James (Jim) Halloran, Kennedy Park, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

In his 84th year and predeceased by his parents Michael and Juilia, brothers Maurice and Christy, sister Monica (Bourke); Mr Halloran sadly passed away unexpectedly, while in the care of staff at Fennor Hill Nursing Home, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Breda (née Tierney), daughter Deirdre, sons Michael, Noel and Aidan, daughter-in-law Geraldine, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Pat, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law Bernie and Joan, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

The earthly remains of Mr Halloran, will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on tomorrow afteroon, Friday February 28th, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm same evening.
His remains will be received into the Church of St Joseph and St Brigid, Bothar-na-Naomh, Thurles, on Saturday morning, March 1st, at 10:30am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Joe Bourke, Clonmore, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Tuesday 25th February 2025, of Mr Joe Bourke, Clonmore, Templemore, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his wife Veronica, parents John and Peg and father-in-law Martin; Mr Bourke passed away peacefully following a short illness, most bravely borne.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; daughters Erin and Erica, son Joseph, brothers Johnny, Tom, Philly, Paddy, Seamus and Martin, mother-in-law Liz, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Death Of Jim Ryan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Monday 24th February 2025, of Mr Jim (James) Ryan, Killinan Hill, Killinan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly No.3 Clobanna Terrace, Mitchel Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Tommy and Nancy, aunt Eileen, uncles Seamus and Larry, brother-in-law Declan and his cousin Liam; Mr Ryan, sadly, passed away at his place of ordinary residence, while in the loving care of his family.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; his adored wife Theresa (nee Fahey), son Stephen, daughters Claire and Róisín, his sister Catherine and brother Laurence, brothers-in-law Derry and Albert, sisters-in-law Nora, Mai, Rose and Joan, aunts Anna and Maura, uncle Eddie, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, extended family, wide circle of friends and his colleagues and pupils in the Presentation Secondary School, Thurles.

The earthly remains of Mr Ryan will repose on Wednesday afternoon, February 26th, at Dan Kennedy’s Funeral Home, Upper Kickham Street, Dublin Road, Thurles, (Eircode E41 XY47) from 5:00pm until 7:00pm same evening.
His funeral cortège will be received into in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles on Thursday morning, February 27th, arriving at 10:30am to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by a service of Cremation in Shannon Crematorium, Illaunmanagh, Shannon, Co. Clare, (Eircode V14 PV30).
