It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Friday 14th November 2025 of Mr Edward (Eddie) Bourke, Farney Cottege, Cormackstown, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his parents Jackie and Bridget (nee Cullagh), his sisters Nuala (in infancy) and Bridget (Biddy) Nevin, his brother Willie, his niece Alice Bourke and his grand nephew Josh Nevin; Mr Bourke passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff of St Theresa’s Nursing Home, Thurles, surrounded by his loving family.
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving brothers John Joe, PJ, Mike, Martin (Tony), Gerry, Ollie and Pascal, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Bourke will repose at Kennedy’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Thurles, (Eircode E41 XY47) on Monday afternoon, November 17th, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm same evening.
His funeral cortège will be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles, on Tuesday morning, November 18th, at 10:30am to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by interment in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Lognafulla,Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

The family of Mr Bourke would like to thank, most sincerely, the staff of St Theresa’s Nursing Home, Thurles, for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Mr Bourke since 2022 last.
