It was with sadness that we learned of the death, today Monday 6th October 2025, of Mrs Nora Hickey (née Mullhall), Ballinvalley, Borris, Co. Carlow and formerly of No.3 The Watergate, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny and Mellison, Glengoole, Thurles, Co.Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by her parents Michael and Margaret; Mrs Hickey sadly passed away unexpectedly while in the care of staff at St Lukes Hospital, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving husband John, sons Joe, Michael, Patrick and Eoin, daughters Brid and Margaret, brother John, sister Mary (Ryan), grandchildren Johanna-Leni, Sadhbh, and Shay, daughters-in-law Lisa and Marleigh, brothers-in-law Michael and Seamus, sisters-in-law Margaret, Siobhan and Mary, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Hickey will repose at Joyce’s Funeral Home, Borris, Co. Carlow, on Wednesday afternoon, October 8th from 1:30pm, with funeral prayers at 6:00pm, before being received into the Church of the Sacred Heart, Borris, Co. Carlow for prayers on reception at 7:00pm same evening.
Requiem Mass will be offered for Mrs Hickey on Thursday morning, October 9th, at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Kilcoltrim, Borris , Co Carlow.
