It was with sadness that we learned of the death, today Monday 25th August 2025 of Mrs Mona Lyons (née Carrigan), Baunta, Callan, Co. Kilkenny and formerly Burnchurch, Killenaule, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by her husband Jack, her sisters Kitty, Maureen and Jocie, her brother Jim and her great-granddaughter Moira, Mrs Lyons passed away at her place of ordinary residence, surrounded by family.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving daughters Mary, Bernadette and Breda, sons Joe, John and Adrian, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Lyons will repose at P. Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, (Eircode R95 Y443), on Wednesday afternoon, August 27th, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm, same evening.
Rosary and Vigil Prayers will be recited afterwards at her home in Baunta (Eircode R95 Y5F2) at 8:30pm.
Funeral Prayers will also be recited at the residence of Mrs Lyon’s, on Thursday morning, August 28th, at 11:00am, before her earthly remains are received into the Church of the Assumption, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan, Co. Kilkenny.
