It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Monday 26th October 2026, of Mrs Mary Rosario Shepard, (née Fitzgerald), Lepperton, New Zealand and formerly of Forgestown, Horse and Jockey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Aged 80 years and pre-deceased by her parents Jimmy and Nell (Forgestown, Horse and Jockey), brothers Fr Phil and Dick, sister-in-law Olive, god-child and nephew Sean (Carey) and nephew James (Fitzgerald); Mrs Shepard passed away peacefully at her place of ordinary residence surrounded by her family.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; husband John, son David, daughters Sara and Katrina, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Kazia, sons-in-law Adam and Nick, sister Margaret (Carey), brothers James and John, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Shepard will repose for Requiem Mass at the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians, 24 Clinton Street, Fitzroy, New Plymouth 4, New Zealand, on Saturday morning, October 31st 2026, at 10:00am, followed by interment at Lepperton Cemetery, 6 Cross Street, Lepperton, New Zealand.
