It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Friday 25th September 2026, of Mrs Joan Doherty (née Kennedy), Monastery Close, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Ballycahill Thurles; Nenagh, and Clonaspoe Dundrum, Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by her husband Gerard, parents Mai and Jack, brother Paddy; Mrs Doherty, sadly, passed away while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, South Tipperary.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving brothers Donal, JJ and Michael, sisters Breda (Hayes) and Maureen (Lanigan), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, carers (especially Joanne and Siobhan), the Monastery Close community, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Doherty will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, (Eircode E41 CP59) on Saturday afternoon, September 26th from 5:30pm until 7:30pm, before being received into the Church of St. Cataldus, Ballycahill, Thurles, at 8:15pm on same evening.
Requiem Mass for Mrs Doherty will be offered on Sunday afternoon, September 27th, at 1:00pm, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in Ballycahill Cemetery, Batchelors Hill, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
