It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Thursday 10th September 2026, of Mrs Mary Loughnane (née Bourke), Monakeeba, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Ard Mhuire, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by her parents Jackie and Josie and her infant brother John; Mrs Loughnane, sadly, passed away following a long illness, most bravely borne.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving husband Pat, sons Derek, Tony (Chuck) and Jonathan, daughter Maria (McGovern), sisters Breda, Margaret and Teresa, grandchildren Philip, Cora, Stacey, Elliott, Páraic and Molly, beloved son-in-law Frankie, daughter-in-law Shelly, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours, friends and loyal ‘old pal’ Scooby.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Loughnane will repose at Kennedy’s Funeral Home, Upper Kickham Street, Dublin Road, Thurles, (Eircode E41 XY47), on Saturday evening from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, same evening.
Her funeral cortège will be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street , Thurles, (Eircode E41 A528), on Sunday morning at 10:30am to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards in St Patrick’s cemetery, Moyne Road, Lognafulla, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
