It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Thursday 3rd September 2026, of Mr Richard (Dick) Hennessy, Rathnew, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Killoskehane, Templemore, Co Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his son Joe and his grandson Eamonn; Mr Hennessy sadly passed away, while surrounded by his family and while in the care of staff at St Colmcilles Hospital, Bray Road, Loughlinstown, Dublin 18.
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving and devoted wife Sheila, daughter Maureen, son Richard, grandchildren Brian, Sinead, Finbarr, Siobhan, Cormac, Donnchadh and Wlada, great granchildren Isabella, Dara, Juan Jose and Annya, sisters Breda and Nancy, brother Michael, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Hennessy will repose at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow, (Eircode A67 E003), on Monday evening, September 7th, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
His funeral cortège will be received into the Church of St Mary, Drom, Templemore, Co. Tipperary, (Eircode E41 KP79), to further repose for Requiem Mass on Tuesday afternoon, September 8th, at 1:00pm, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in the adjoining graveyard.
