Death Of Mary Cecily Bowen, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, today Tuesday 30th June 2026, of Ms Mary Cecily Bowen, Corbally, Drangan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, and formerly of Waterock, Midleton, Co. Cork.

Pre-deceased by her beloved parents, Vincent and Mary Rose, and her cherished sisters, Betty, Rosemary and Deirdre; Ms Bowen passed away peacefully, while in her 90th year, while at her place of ordinary residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving and devoted nephew Karl, her brother John, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Ms Bowen will be remembered for her kindness, warmth and the many happy memories she leaves with all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Ms Bowen will repose at Brett’s Funeral Home, Mullinahone, Thurles, (Eircode E41 EV78) on Friday afternoon, July 3rd, from 5:30pm until 7:00pm same evening.
Her remains will be received into the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Drangan, Co. Tipperary, on Saturday morning, July 4th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by a Service of Cremation at the Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.
