It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Friday 23rd January 2026, of Mrs Ellen (Nell) Kelly (née Ely), Oscar Terrace, Kickham Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly Brownstown, Loughmore, Templemore, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by her husband Jerry and son Pat, Mrs Kelly passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Padre Pio Nursing Home, Holycross, Thurles and Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving daughters Bernadette and Claire, sons Thomas, David and Ger, sister Mary, brother Billy, son-in-law Pat, daughter-in-law Fiona, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Kelly, will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, (Eircode E41CP59), on Sunday afternoon, February 1st from 4:00pm until 6:00pm same evening.
Her remains will be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles, (Eircode E41 A528), on Monday morning, February 2nd, at 10:30am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am. followed by interment immediately afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Lognafulla, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
