It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Sunday 11th January 2026, of Mr Patrick (Paddy) Hassett, Ballytarsna, Horse & Jockey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his parents and brother Sean; Mr Hassett passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, following a short illness most bravely borne.
His passing is most deeply regretted sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; sons Micheál and Declan, daughter Sharon (Kearney), grandchildren Megan, Willie, Archie, Paddy, Rory and Jane, son-in-law Paul, daughter-in-law Sheena and Declan’s partner Barbara, sisters Nell (Johnson) and Mary (O’Reilly), nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Hassett will repose at Lonergan’s Funeral Home, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, on Tuesday afternoon, January 13th, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, before being received into the Church of St Peter, Moycarkey, Thurles, at 7:30pm same evening.
Funeral Mass for Mr Hassett will be offered on Wednesday morning, January 14th at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in nearby St. Peter’s Cemetery, Moycarkey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
