It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday, Saturday 3rd January 2026, of Ms Mary Slattery, Fontenoy Terrace, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Shevry, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by her parents Tom and Kitty, and brother Michael; the passing of Ms Slattery is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; heartbroken brothers Seamus, Thomas and Sean, sisters, Ann, and Joan, brothers-in-law Austin and Gerry, sisters-in-law Mary and Tracy, adored nieces and nephews Tomas, Cathy, Robbie, John, Caroline, David, Hannah, Millie, Alfie and Belle, grandnieces Amelia and Isla, grandnephews Jack and Shane, aunt Kitty McLoughlin, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Ms Slattery will repose at O’Dwyer’s Funeral Home, Cappanaleigh, Upperchurch, Thurles, (Eircode E41 FN34) on tomorrow evening, Monday January 5th, from 6:00pm until 7:30pm.
Her remains will be received into the Church of the Sacred Heart, Upperchurch, Thurles, on Tuesday morning at 11:00am to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards in nearby Upperchurch Cemetery, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
