It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Thursday 13th November 2025 of Mr James (Jim) Hennessy, Cormackstown, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his parents John and Elizabeth, brother David, sisters Bridie Kearney and Sr Hilary; Mr Hennessy passed away peacefully following a short illness, while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital.
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Kathleen, sons John, Kevin and Brian, daughters Geraldine (O’Sullivan, Boherlahan) and Brenda (Dempsey Bouladuff), grandchildren Liam, Michael, James, Ben, James, Cormac, Claire, Aoife, Siobhan and Fiona, daughters-in-law Annmarie, Geraldine and Deirdre, sons-in-law Mick and Paul, brothers Pat (Hospital, Co. Limerick) and Noel (Dundrum), sisters-in-law Mary, Genevieve, Agnes and Sheila, extended relatives, former colleagues in AFT and An Teagasc, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Hennessy will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, (Eircode E41 CP59) on Monday afternoon, November 17th, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm same evening.
His remains will be received into the former Cistercian Monastery Abbey, at Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary on Tuesday morning, November 18th, at 11:30am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
