It was with sadness that we learned of the death, today Friday 26th September 2025, of Ms Josephine Quirke, Derrinclare, Shinrone, Co. Offaly, Whitecliff, Rathfarnham, Co. Dublin and late of Cappanavile, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by her parents Hannah and John; Ms Quirke passed away peacefully, following a short illness, while in the care of staff at Nenagh Hospital, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving sisters Annie (Corcoran- Shinrone) and Pauline (Morris- Ballingarry), brothers-in-law Tadhg and P.J. nieces Catriona, Annette, Marie, Carmel, Ann, Mary and their husbands, nephews Gerard, John, Michael and their wives, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Ms Quirke will reposing at her sister Annie’s residence in Derrinclare, Shinrone, Co. Offaly (Eircode E53 ND89) on Sunday afternoon from 2:00pm with removal at 5:00pm to be received into the Sacred Heart Church, Cappanaleigh, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, (Eircode E41 V389) at 7:00pm same evening.
Requiem Mass for Ms Quirke will be offered on Monday morning at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in Upperchurch graveyard, Crossroads, Cappanaleigh, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
