Death Of William Phelan, Late Of Co. Tipperary.

It was with sadness we learned of the death, on Monday 4th August 2025, of Mr William (John) Phelan (late of Cork University Hospital Radio), Beaumont, Co. Cork and late of Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his brother George; Mr Phelan passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, at the Cork University Hospital.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Ann (née Dowling, late of Collins Barracks), sons John, Garret, and Colin, daughter Alison, sister Rena, brothers Frank, Jimmy and Michael, sisters-in-law Betty and Kay, brother-in-law John, daughters-in-law Eilis and Ann-Marie, son-in-law Gary, grandchildren Isobel, Nathan, Chloe and Emma, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Phelan will repose at Jerh O’Connor Funeral Home, Temple Hill, Boreenmanna Road, Co. Cork, this afternoon, Wednesday August 6th, from 5:00pm until 6:00pm same evening.
His remains will be received into the Catholic Church of St. Michael, 204 Blackrock Rd, Blackrock, Co. Cork, (Eircode T12 F8R9), on tomorrow morning, Thursday August 7th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, to nearby St. Michael’s Cemetery, Blackrock, Co. Cork.
