A private company, Deanscastle Developments Ltd, with a registered address at 125 Upper Abbey Street, Dublin 1, Co. Dublin, has lodged a housing planning application (Planning Application: 2360956) with Tipperary Co. Council.

The applicant proposes for the construction of 94 houses on the Bohernamona Road north east of Thurles town.
The proposed development, lodged on December 1st last, would include three and four-bedroom detached; semi-detached and terraced housing units, including the development of a new cycleway and pedestrian walkway alongside the present Bohernamona Road, which would connect to Loughtagalla Park; together with and a creche building of 475 sqm for 57 childcare spaces.
The development would represent the first phase of an overall development of these lands, with the deadline for submissions being January 13th, 2024. The case is due to be decided by February 3rd 2024.
