It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Monday 18th September 2023, of Mrs Marion Roche (née Fitzgerald) formerly of Horse and Jockey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary; Dublin; Galway, and Tenerife.
Pre-deceased by her husband Thomas; Mrs Roche passed away peacefully, following a short illness, while in the care of staff at St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Shantalla, Co. Galway, surrounded by her much loved family.
Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by her children Michael, Josephine, Majella and Moira, her in-laws Lynette, Daniel and Aaron, grandchildren Aideen, David, Jane, Kelly, Stuart, Siobhan, Michael, Ciara and Ava and her nine great-grandchildren, immediate family members Kathleen, Joan and JJ, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Roche will repose in the Church of St. Peter, Moycarky, Thurles, [E41 FY29], for Requiem Mass on Thursday next, September 21st, at 12:00 noon, followed by private cremation.

The family wish to convey their sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Mary’s Nursing Home in Shantalla, Co. Galway, for providing a loving home for Mrs Roche, where she resided happily for the past two years. Thanks also to the hard working staff at Galway University Hospital, where she recently had treatment, and to Kevin from the palliative care team, that made sure her passing was comfortable and peaceful.
