Death Of Sr. Catherine Stapleton, Formerly Loughmore, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Thursday 6th April 2023, of Sr. Catherine Stapleton [Religious Order of the Sacred Heart of Mary], Madonna House, Ferrybank, Co. Waterford and formerly of Clonakenny, Roscrea, and Loughmore Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her parents James and Mary, brothers Fr. John and Ned and her nephew Gary; Sr. Catherine passed away peacefully, aged 93 years, at Mooncoin Nursing Home, Pollrone, Mooncoin, Co. Kilkenny.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by her brothers Patrick and James, sisters-in-law Theresa, and Kathleen, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, Sacred Heart of Mary Sisters community, especially in Madonna House, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Sr. Catherine will repose in the Convent Chapel on Easter Sunday afternoon, April 9th, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm.
Her remains will be received into the Church of the Sacred Heart, Ross Road, Ferrybank, Co. Waterford, on Easter Monday morning April 10th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 10:00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the Convent Cemetery.
