It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Thursday last, 2nd March 2023, of Fr. Michael Cormack, retired pastor of St. Rose of Lima Parish, Roseville, Dioceses of Sacramento, California, and formerly of Ballyerk, Moyne, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
In his 96th year and pre-deceased by his father Willie and mother Sarah, sister Mary (Butler), brothers Jimmy and Willie; Fr. Michael passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Mercy Mc Mahon Care Home, Sacramento, U.S. State of California.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving sisters Stasia (Maher) and Peg, brother-in-law Larry, nieces, nephews, extended relatives [Butler family, (Barna, Templetuohy & Thurles)], Bishop Jaime Soto, fellow priests of the dioceses, neighbours, dear friends and parishioners.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated later at St. Rose Parish, 615 Vine Avenue, Roseville, California, followed by a Memorial Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Moyne, Thurles, Co Tipperary, latter on a date to be announced.
