It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday, Friday 9th September, 2022, of Mr Michael (Mick) Phelan, Marble Crest, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his loving daughter Clodagh and more recently by his brother Liam; Mr Phelan (retired member of Garda Síochána) passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny.
The passing of Mr Phelan, is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary, daughters Anna and Grainne, sons Brian and Michael, brother Tom, sisters Rita and Maureen, sons-in-law Warren and PJ, daughters-in-law Emer and Julie, grandchildren James, Daniel, Alex, Arran, Roisín, Ciara and Finnian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Phelan will repose at Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny city on Sunday afternoon, September 11th, from 4:00pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayer’s at 6:00pm.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 12th, at 12:00 noon, in St. Fiacre’s Church, Bohernatounish Rd, Gallowshill, Kilkenny. followed by interment immediately afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery.
