Death Of Sr. Mary O’Connor, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death today, Wednesday, 4th May, 2022, of Sr. Mary O’Connor, Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary, Cavan; formerly of Ballingarry South Riding, Thurles, Co. Tipperary; missions in Sierra Leone, Texas USA and here in Ireland.

In her 100th year, pre-deceased by her parents Edward and Ellen O Connor, her brothers Tom and Frank and sister-in-law Kitty; Sr. Mary passed away peacefully, sadly while in the care of staff at College View Nursing Home, Clones Road, Co. Cavan.

Sr. Mary will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, great grandnephews, her extended family, Missionary colleagues in the Sisters of the Holy Rosary, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Requiescat in Pace.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Sr. Mary will repose for Requiem Mass, privately with family and the Holy Rosary Sisters in the Holy Rosary Convent Chapel, Cavan, on Friday afternoon, May 6th, at 1.30pm, followed by interment in the Convent Plot at Cullies Burial ground Co. Cavan.

[NB: Due to C-19 virus fears; those attending will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing, face covering, with no hand shaking.]
