In the past 24 hours, the Department of Health, here in the Republic Of Ireland has confirmed 1,236 PCR cases of Covid-19, while 1,601 people have registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.
Same brings the total number Covid-19 cases to 2,837 up 591 cases reported yesterday.
The number of people who have died with Covid-19 since the virus was first recorded here in the Irish Republic now sadly stands at 7,016, with a further 12 deaths announced today.
This morning, there were 477 people in our Republic’s hospitals with the virus, down 58 on the same time yesterday. Of these, there were 33 people in our ICUs; compared to 43 also at the same time yesterday.
