Death Of Tommy Flanagan, Thurles Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great personal sadness that I learned of the death yesterday, Tuesday, 29th March, 2022, of Mr Tommy Flanagan, Cashel Road, Glenbane Upper, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his loving wife Mary (nee Gleeson); Mr Flanagan passed away peacefully, following a short illness, while in the care of staff at Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his immediately family; Sandra, Annette, Padraig and Tomás, his sisters Sadie (Dwyer) and Breda (O’Loughlin), grandchildren Roisin, Ciara, Daniel, Jack, Grace and Darragh, sons-in-law Andy, Eamonn and Paul, daughter-in-law Joanna, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, former colleagues in Erin Foods Thurles, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Flanagan will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on Thursday evening, March 31st, from 4:30pm to 7:00pm.
His body will be received into the former Cistercian Abbey Church at Holycross, Thurles, on Friday, April 1st, arriving at 11:00am to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended Requiem Mass for Mr Flanagan, but are unable to do so, due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic; same can be viewed online HERE.

[NB: Due to Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending Requiem Mass will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing, face covering, with no hand shaking.]
