Death Of Michael Webb, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Saturday last, November 27th 2021, of Mr Michael Somerset Webb, Cahir, Co. Tipperary.

The late Mr Webb, (whose name will be forever synonymous with the locating and unearthing, at Derrynaflan, Horse & Jockey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, of the now world famous 8th – 9th-century Derrynaflan Hoard, latter the most complex and sumptuous expression of ecclesiastical art from early-medieval Ireland), passed away peacefully.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his wife Mona, children Rosemary, Michael Jr., and Sara, grandchildren, brother Tim, sister Roisin, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Requiescat in Pace.
