It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Monday 15th November 2021, of Fr Denis M. O’Rourke, St Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow; Diocese of Minna (Nigeria, West Africa); formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Tralee, Co. Kerry.
Predeceased by his parents Jack and B’Mai (née O’Doherty) and by his brother Fr J C (Australia); Fr Denis (MSPS), passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin.
His passing is most sadly missed by his sisters Claver [Hill (UK)] and Ita [Loughnane (Maynooth)], his brothers-in-law Robert Hill and Michael Loughnane, his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, eextended relatives, neighbours, a wide circle of friends and by his Society family.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Fr Denis will repose for Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Chapel, Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow on Thursday, November 18th, at 12:00 noon, followed by interment in the nearby Society Cemetery.
For the many persons who would have liked to have attended Requiem Mass for Fr Denis, but are unable to do so, due to current virus restrictions; Requiem Mass can be viewed online HERE.
