Death Of Kathleen Devaney, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with the deepest regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Wednesday 26th May 2021, of Mrs Kathleen (Lally) Devaney (née Ryan), Kiltycahill, Hazelwood, Sligo Town, Co. Sligo and formerly of Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her loving husband John, her sisters Babs, Josie, Peggy, Breda and Anne and her granddaughter Nikita; Mrs Devaney passed away while in the care of staff at St. Phelim’s Nursing Home, Dromahair, Co Leitrim.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving children Breda, Sean, Katrina, Pat, Stephen, Carmel, Sheila and Aidan and her adored grandchildren Colm, Cian, Amy, Darragh, Shauna, Chloe, Chantelle, Callum, Aisling, Andrew and Xavier, her great granddaughter Alayah, her daughters-in-law Ann and Marie, sons-in-law Noel, John and Gerry, her sisters Mae (Cavan), Nonie (Wexford), her brothers Sonny (Tipperary), Ned (Dublin), extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Devaney will repose in her family home on Friday evening, May 28th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm for family and friends.
The funeral cortège, bearing the earthly remains of Mrs Devaney will leave her family home on Saturday morning, May 29th, at 10:15am via Camboline, Hazelwood Road, to Ballinode, turning right onto the R278 to be received into St. Patrick’s Church, Calry, Co. Sligo, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am. Following Mass removal will take place to Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, Dublin Rd, Tullymongan Upper, Co. Cavan.

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service for Mrs Devaney, but are unable to do so due to current coronavirus pandemic restrictions; same can be viewed online HERE.

[NB: Due to National Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending (limited to 50 mourners), will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing and face covering.]

Note Please: Persons are invited to form a guard of honour, should they so wish, along the route taken by the funeral cortège, as a mark of respect.
Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Alzheimer’s Day Centre, Aughamore.

The Devaney family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care and support of the staff at St. Phelim’s Nursing Home, Dromahair, Sligo University Hospital, The Alzheimer’s Day Centre Aughamore, St. John’s Day Hospital, Family Carers Association and West Care Home Care.
