Death Of Peggy Griffin, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with the deepest regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Wednesday 5th May 2021 of Mrs Margaret (Peggy) Griffin [née Ryan (Matt)], Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, formerly of Foilnamon, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Reafadda, Holyford, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her husband Eddie, son Eamonn and son-in-law Joe; Mrs Griffin passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, while in the care of staff at University Hospital Limerick.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving family, son Tom (Dublin), daughters Mary Whelan (Oola), Kathleen Brown (Moycarkey), Eileen Fallon (Two Mile Borris), daughter-in-law Ann, sons-in-law John and David, grandchildren Christine, Eamonn, Shane, Brian, Daniel, Geoff, Jack and Clodagh, great-grandchildren Ben, Isabel and Emily, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The funeral cortège, bearing the earthly remains of Mrs Griffin, will leave her daughter Eileen’s residence on Saturday morning next, May 8th, at 10:00am, to be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles, at 10:30am, travelling via Moyne Road, Thurles, to repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am.
Following Mass interment will take place, immediately afterwards, in Upperchurch Cemetery, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service for Mrs Griffin, but are unable to do so due to current coronavirus pandemic restrictions; same can be viewed online HERE.

[NB: Due to National Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending (limited to 25 family members), will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing and face covering.]
