Death Of Anne Caffrey, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It is with the deepest regret that we learned of the death, today Thursday 29th April 2021, of Mrs Anne Caffrey (née Ryan), Cormaddyduff, Virginia, Co. Cavan and formerly from Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mrs Caffrey passed away peacefully, at her place of residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her husband Colm, sons Patrick and John, daughters Karen and Helen, her sisters May Fitzsimons (Ballyjamesduff), Nonie O’Leary (Wexford), Kathleen Devaney (Sligo), her brothers Sonny (Tipperary) and Ned (Dublin), her daughters-in-law Stephanie and Aine, sons-in-law John and Daragh, her adored grandchildren Amy, Evan, Rachel, Cara, Ellen, Kate, Jack, James, Emer, Emma, Alex, Oisin and Lily, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Caffrey will repose at Matthew’s Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm for family and friends.
The Funeral cortège, bearing the remains of Mrs Caffrey will leave Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd, Tullymongan Upper, Co. Cavan, on Saturday morning, via Dunancory Bridge and Cormaddyduff, to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Castlerahan, Co, Cavan, for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon, followed by the internment of ashes in the adjoining graveyard. People are invited to form a guard of honour if they so wish, along the route taken by the Funeral cortège to the church, as a mark of respect.

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service for Mr Maher, but are unable to do so due to current coronavirus pandemic restrictions; same can be viewed online HERE.

[NB: Due to National Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending (limited to 25 family members), will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing and face covering.]

The Caffrey family would also like to acknowledge the wonderful care and support of Dr. Annmarie Gilsenan, Palliative Care, The Irish Night Nurse Service and her carers Laura and Susan.
