Death Of John Maher, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It is with the deepest regret that we learned of the death, today Tuesday 27th April 2021, of Mr John Maher, No.2 St. Anne’s Terrace, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Boulabeha, Moyne, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by his parents Molly and Jack; Mr Maher passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at Waterford Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Peggy, adoring family, Therese (Hayden), Triona (Queally), Yvonne (Touhy), Jonathan and Mairead, sons-in-law Mark, Eamonn, Fergus, Jonathan’s partner Helena and Maireads partner Freddie, grandchildren, Eamonn Óg, Cillian, Darragh and Jack, brothers Tom, Dinny, Paddy, Martin and Gerard, brother in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Maher will repose at Doyle’s Funeral Home, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny, on tomorrow evening, Wednesday April 28th, for family and close friends only, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm; with removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Gortnahoe, Thurles, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am.
Interment will follow immediately afterwards in the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service for Mr Maher, but are unable to do so due to current coronavirus pandemic restrictions; same can be viewed online HERE.

[NB: Due to National Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending (limited to 25 family members), will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing and face covering.]
