Death Of Very Rev. Canon Liam Ryan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great personal sadness and deepest regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Friday 23rd April 2021, of Very Rev. Canon Liam Ryan, Glenbane Upper, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret, brother Paddy and nephew Michael; Rev. Canon Ryan passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff of Padre Pio Nursing Home, Holycross, Thurles.

Formerly Parish Priest of St. Mary’s Church, Killenaule, Thurles, having previously served in Co. Waterford, Walkinstown, Co. Dublin and Drangan, Thurles, Co Tipperary; his passing is most deeply regretted by his brother Mikie, sisters in law Chris and Pat, nieces Claire, Kay, Mairead, Valerie and Louise, nephew Marc, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousin Noreen, extended relatives, Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly, Clergy colleagues from Cashel and Emly Dioceses, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Rev. Canon Ryan will be received into the Abbey of Holycross, Thurles on Monday afternoon next, April 26th, at 1.30pm, to repose for Requiem Mass at 2:00pm, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service for Rev. Canon Ryan, but are unable to do so, due to current coronavirus pandemic restrictions; same can be viewed online HERE.

[NB: Due to National Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending (limited to 25 family members), will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing and face covering.]
