Covid-19 Update: Fri. 4th Dec. 2020 – 6 Deaths – 265 New Cases.

The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 6 deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll, here in the Republic of Ireland, remaining at 2,086.

There are 265 new additional virus cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 73,491.

Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 84 are in Dublin; 19 in Donegal; 28 in Louth; 27 in Limerick; 15 each in Galway and Wicklow; with the remaining 77 cases located across 18 other counties.

There were 232 people bring treated in hospital with Covid-19, with 27 of these being treated for Covid-19 in intensive care units across the Republic.

Ireland’s 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 of the population is now 78.3.

Total global cases up to 5.30pm this evening, now stand at well over 65.5 million with global deaths at well over 1.51 million.
