Covid-19 Update: Mon. 2nd Nov. 2020 – 2 Deaths – 767 New Cases

23 new killer Covid-19 virus cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary

The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 2 further deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,917

There are 767 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 62,750. [Note: 19 previously confirmed cases have now been de-notified.]

Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 23 are in Co. Tipperary (Total 1,208 cases to date, per RTE summary); 321 in Dublin; 84 in Cork; 47 in Meath; 34 in Limerick; 24 in Roscommon; with the remaining 233 cases located across all other counties.

Some 200 trainees and 60 instructors from the Garda college in Templemore, Co. Tipperary are being deployed to frontline duties today, to assist their colleagues during this pandemic.

Currently, there are 322 confirmed cases of Covid-19 recorded nationally in our Irish State hospitals, with 44 of these patients in intensive care units, (ICU’s).

There are 493 new cases in Northern Ireland, with sadly a further 8 deaths from Covid-19 virus. Their death toll now stands at 724.

Total global cases this evening, now stand at well over 46.7 million [Global Cases – 46,723,235] with global deaths at over 1.2 million [Global Deaths – 1,203,431].
