War On Drug Dealers In Tipperary Continues.

As part of the continuous war on illegal drugs and those selling misery for personal gain; two men were arrested by Gardaí in Clonmel, Co Tipperary, yesterday afternoon, (14th July 2020) .

They were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into a drugs distribution network, located here in the south Tipperary region.

Items seized included illegal drugs and offensive weapons.

Yesterday at approximately 2.30pm, Gardaí from Clonmel Garda Station assisted by the Regional Dog Unit, Henry Street, carried out a search at an address in Clonmel.

During the course of this operation, Gardaí recovered cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of €18,500 along with €980 in cash, a weighing scales, mobile phones and a number of offensive weapons, including a stun gun.

The two men arrested were aged in their 30’s and remain currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Clonmel Garda Station.

Those arrested can be held for up to seven days as investigations continue.
