Covid-19 Update: Wed. 3rd June 2020 – 3 Deaths – 47 New Cases

The total number of Covid-19 virus cases confirmed here in Co. Tipperary; as of midnight on Monday, June 1st last, is recorded at 539, with 1 new case notified within a 24 hours period.

The Department of Health has confirmed this evening that a further 3 persons have sadly passed away from the virus, here in the Republic of Ireland, over the past 24 hours. These latest figures leave the total number of deaths caused by this pandemic currently at 1,659.

This evening, it has also been confirmed that an additional 47 new cases of coronavirus have been identified, bringing the total since conception, here in the Republic of Ireland, to 25,111.

Dublin has the highest number of cases at 12,093 (48%), followed by Cork with 1,517 cases (6%) and Kildare with 1,419 cases (6%). The the National Public Health Emergency Team will meet tomorrow to continue its review of Ireland’s response todate.

However, people are still being urged to continue the course ahead of the now expected second phase of Covid-19 restriction easing due next week.
