Covid-19 Update: Sat. 30th May 2020 – 9 Deaths – 59 New Cases

The total number of Covid-19 virus cases confirmed here in Co. Tipperary; as of midnight on Wednesday, May 27th last, remains updated at 527, with 0 recorded new case up until that date.

The Department of Health has confirmed this evening that a further 9 persons have sadly passed away from the virus here in the Republic of Ireland, over the past 24 hours. These latest figures leave the total number of deaths caused by this pandemic currently at 1,651.

This evening, it has also been confirmed that an additional 59 new cases of coronavirus have been identified, bringing the total since conception in the Republic of Ireland to 24,929.

Co. Dublin still has the highest number of cases at 12,031 (48% of all cases), followed by Co. Cork with 1,472 cases (6%) and Co. Kildare with 1,416 cases (6%).

Worthy of Note: Of those for whom transmission status is known, community transmission accounts for 39%, close contact accounts for 58%, travel abroad accounts for 2%; so stay the distance asked by medical professionals.

Note Also: The current recovery rate from covid-19 virus is 90%.
