Covid-19 Update: Tue. 26th May 2020 – 9 Deaths – 37 New Cases

The total number of Covid-19 virus cases that have been confirmed here in Co. Tipperary; as of midnight on Sunday, May 24th last, remains at 528, with 0 recorded new case, within a 24-hour period.

The Department of Health has confirmed this evening that a further 9 persons have sadly died from the virus here in the Republic of Ireland, over the past 24 hours. These latest figures leave the total number of deaths caused by this pandemic currently at 1,615.

This evening, it has also been confirmed that an additional 37 new cases of coronavirus have been identified, bringing the total since conception to 24,735.

Data indicates 57% are female and 43% are male and 7,852 cases are associated with healthcare workers.

Dublin has the highest number of cases at 11,894 (48% of all cases) followed by Cork with 1,440 cases (6%) and Kildare with 1,395 cases (6%)

Worldwide there have been some 5.5 million cases identified.
