It was with a great personal sadness I learned of the death today, Thursday 22nd June 2017, of Mr Des Hanafin,(Former Senator, House of the Oireachtas), Dublin Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
The passing of Mr Hanafin is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Mona; his daughter Mary; son John; grandchildren Mary Claire, Darragh and John; sisters in law; brothers in law; nieces; nephews; extended relatives and a wide circle of friends.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Hanafin will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on Saturday next, 24th June from 5.00pm to 8.00pm, to arrive at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, at 8.30pm.
Requiem Mass will be held on Sunday 25th June at 12.00 noon, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
