Thurles Deaths January 31st, 2016

SLATTERY

With-sincere-sympathyIt was with sadness we learned of the death on January 31st, 2016, of Mrs Kathleen Slattery (née Cummins), formerly of Lower Cork Street, Mitchelstown, Co.Cork and late of Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Mrs Slattery passed away unexpectedly at Cork University Hospital. Beloved wife of Willie and devoted mother of Liam, Anne and Mary and wonderful grandmother to Billy, Máire, Jack and Seán, her passing is most deeply regretted by her heartbroken family, daughter-in-law Joan, son-in-law Colum, brother-in-law John, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, many friends and her former colleagues at Cashel and Clonmel Hospitals.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mrs Slattery will repose at the Chapel of Rest, Baldwin Street, Mitchelstown on Tuesday evening (2nd February) from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, followed by removal to the Parish Church.

Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday (3rd February) at 2:30pm. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Note: House private please.

EVERARD

With-sincere-sympathyIt was with sadness we learned of the death, on Sunday 31st January 2016 of Sr. Roch (Eileen) Everard, Clonakilty, Co. Cork and Lisheen, Templetuohy, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Sr. Roch passed away peacefully in the excellent care of Bushmount Nursing Home, Clonakilty. Sr. Roch, the loving sister of John, was predeceased by her brothers Mick, Ned and Tom, sisters Kathleen (Cusack), Sr. Angela and Rita (Cahill). Her passing is most deeply regretted by her brother, sisters-in-law Annie and Josephine, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, relatives, the Sisters in Arus Muire and Mercy Congregation, staff of Bushmount, former colleagues (St. Finbarr’s Hospital and CUH) and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Sr. Roch will repose in the Chapel, Arus Muire, Clonakilty from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Tuesday (February 2nd), followed by Evening Prayer at 5:00pm.

Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday (February 3rd), at 11:30am in Clonakilty Parish Church, followed by burial in the Cemetery of St. James, Chetwynd, near Cork city.

HENNESSY

deathIt was with sadness we learned of the death, on Sunday 31st January 2016 of Mr Jimmy Hennessy, Halfway House, Ballybrista, Loughmore, Templemore, Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Uncle of the late Gerard Grace and to the overwhelming grief of his heartbroken wife Bernie, Mr Hennessy passed away suddenly. His passing is most deeply regretted by his sisters Anna (Grace) and Josephine (Maher), uncle Br. Patrick, brothers in law, Danny (Grace), Jimmy (Maher), and Dan (Ryan), sister in law Ellen (Ryan), nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Hennessy will repose at Grey’s Funeral Home, Templemore, this Tuesday evening from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

Removal on Wednesday morning to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Loughmore, for Requiem Mass at 11:30am. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
