Thurles Deaths – January 20th & January 21st 2016

MOLONEY

deathIt was with sadness we learned of the death yesterday, Thursday 21st January 2016, of Mr Thomas (Tom) Moloney, Abbey Road, Thurles, Co.Tipperary.

Mr Moloney passed away peacefully, deeply regretted by his loving wife Eileen, sons & daughters John, Tom, Phil, Jim, Eileen, Nora, Ann, brothers Billy and Sean, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Moloney will repose at Egan’s Funeral Home on today, Friday, January 22nd, from 4:30pm to 7:00pm. Arriving at the Church of St. Joseph and St. Brigid, Bothar na Naomh, Thurles at 8:00pm.

Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday at 10:00am, followed by burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road.

Note: Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Community Hospital, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

HOLMES

With-sincere-sympathyIt was with sadness we learned of the death, on Wednesday,  January 20th 2016, of Sr. Brigid Holmes, Presentation Convent, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Presentation Convent, Ballingarry, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Sr. Brigid passed away in the loving care of the staff of Ardeen Nursing Home, Thurles. Predeceased by her brothers Thomas and Willie and her sister, Sr. Laboure, R.S.M., her passing is most deeply regretted by her Presentation Community, her sister-in-law, Helen (Lally) Holmes (Murroe, Co. Limerick), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Sr. Brigid will repose in the Presentation Convent Chapel, Thurles, on today Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with prayers at 6:00pm.

Funeral Mass will take place in the Presentation Convent Chapel on Saturday next at 11:00am, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles.

MURPHY

With-sincere-sympathyIt was with sadness we learned of the death yesterday, Thursday 21st January 2016, of Mrs Sylvia Murphy (née Bourke), Clongour, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mrs Murphy passed away peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff at St Joseph’s Hospital, Clonmel.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy, the passing of Mrs Murphy is most deeply regretted by her loving family, sons Eamonn and Padraig, daughter Mary (Murray), daughters-in-law Mary and Helen, son-in-law Michael, grandchildren, brother Mattie, sisters Anna (Perkins), Peggy (Hassett) and Aileen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mrs Murphy will repose at her son Padraig’s residence, Killinan, on Saturday from 2:00pm until 5:00pm followed by removal to the Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles; arriving at 5:45pm.

Requiem Mass will take place on Sunday at 12:00 noon, followed by burial in St Michael’s Cemetery, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
