Thurles Rotary Club President M/s Evelyn Nevin, seen here, presenting a cheque for €500 to M/s Nicky Veasey, latter representing Mo Chara Animal Rescue, following the clubs successful ‘Run – Walk – Cycle’ fund-raising event held on St. Stephen’s Day, December 26th 2014 last.
The fund-raising events, which took place at Thurles Rugby Club, involved a 55k Cycle Event, a Family Fun Cycle, a 10k Walk and 10k Road Race. For this event Thurles Rugby Club provided access to the full resources of their Clubhouse, thus assisting with the parking of vehicles together with shower and changing facilities. For the latter Thurles Rotary wish to express their sincere gratitude.
In presenting the cheque Thurles Knights of Malta and Thurles Gardaí were also warmly thanked by the club members.
