Death Of Eddie Buckley, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death today, Sunday 12th February 2023, of Mr Eddie Buckley, Dawn Cottage, Liskaveen, Littleton, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his wife Kathleen; Mr Buckley passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Cork University Hospital, Wilton, Cork.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his son Edward and partner Jacqueline, grandson Edward, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Buckley will repose in Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on Monday afternoon, February 13th, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm same evening.
His remains will be received into the Church of St. Peter, Moycarkey, Thurles, on Tuesday morning, February 14th, at 11:00am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by cremation, immediately afterwards, in the Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Spike Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork at 5:00pm.

Death Of Tommy Kennedy, Glastrigan, Templederry, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Saturday 11th February 2023, of Mr Tommy Kennedy, (Publican), Glastrigan, Templederry, Co. Tipperary.

The passing of Mr Kennedy is most deeply regretted by his loving brothers Peter and Fr. Joe, sisters Kathleen (Burke) and Pauline (Keyes), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended relatives, kind neighbours, loyal customers and many friends.

The earthly remains of Mr Kennedy will repose at O’ Dwyer’s Funeral Home, Cappanaleigh, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary tomorrow afternoon, Monday, February 13th, from 5:00pm until 7:30pm same evening.
His remains will be received into the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Cloghinch, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, on Tuesday, February 14th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon, followed by interment in the nearby new cemetery, Cloghinch, Templederry, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Frank Mockler, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Friday 10th February 2023, of Mr Francis (Frank) Mockler, Abbot Mews, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Rossa Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Ilford, Essex, England.

Pre-deceased by his parents Jack and Margaret (née Russell, Loughmore, Templemore), brothers John, Mick, Tom, Nicholas, Jim (Melbourne), Paddy, Dan (Florida), sisters Nora, Mary (Kavanagh); Margaret (Callanan) and Mena (Harland, néé Flynn); Mr Mockler passed away, aged in his 93rd year.

His passing is most deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret (Peg), daughter Joanne, sisters Kitty O’Donnell (Boherlahan), sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

The earthly remains of Mr Mockler will be received into former Cistercian Monastery Abbey, Holycross Thurles, on Tuesday morning, February 14th, at 11:00am, to repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am.
Interment will follow, immediately afterwards, in the adjoining graveyard.

Death Of Teresa Gubbins, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Thursday 9th February 2023, of Mrs Teresa Gubbins (née Hurley), Kickham Street, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Hollyford, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her brothers Paddy, Jimmy and Tony and her sisters Maureen and Nellie; Mrs Gubbins passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at St Teresa’s Nursing Home, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, surrounded by her loving family.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by her husband Michael, daughter Terri, son-in-law Joe, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her remains will be received into the Church of St. Peter & St. Paul, No. 22 Gladstone Street, Oldbridge, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary on Sunday afternoon, February 12th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 12:30pm, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Joan Egan, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death today, Thursday 9th February 2023, of Mrs Joan Egan (née Cahill), Kilvemnon, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, and formerly of Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her parents William and Hannah, brother Noel, sister Alice, nephew Damien and niece Caroline; Mrs Egan passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, while in the care of staff at Archersrath Nursing Home, Uppertown, Co. Kilkenny.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by her adoring daughter Lisa, son-in-law Darragh, grandchildren Alanah, Ava and Will, brothers Tom, Seamie and Dick, sisters Catherine and Brid, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, her companion Ned, Lisa’s father William, extended relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Sunday morning, February 12th, at 10:30am; followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in the Mill Cemetery, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny.
