Death Of John Dunne, Formerly Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Saturday 18th February 2023, of Mr John Dunne, Bath Road, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin and formerly of Loughmore, Templemore, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his wife Philomena; Mr Dunne passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at Beaumont Hospital, Beaumont Road, Dublin.

His passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sons Aidan and John, daughters Margaret and Geraldine, grandchildren, sister Maryanne (Coppinger), nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Dunne will repose at McNally’s Funeral Home, 20 Drogheda St, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, on Wednesday evening, February 22nd, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

His remains will be received into the Church of St. Peter & St. Paul, Dublin Street, Balbriggan on Thursday morning, February 23rd, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium, Collinstown Cross, Old Airport Rd, Dublin, at 1:30pm.

Death Of Tommy Sheridan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Sunday 19th February 2023, of Mr Thomas (Tommy) Sheridan, Parkstown, Horse & Jockey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, and late of Cavanfin, Crossdoney, Co. Cavan.

Pre-deceased by his parents William and Katie, sisters Margaret, Bridget and Mary and his brother John; Mr Sheridan passed away while in the care of staff at South Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended relatives, neighbours and good friends in Parkstown and Horse & Jockey.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Sheridan will be received into the Church of St. Felim, Ballinagh Road, Ballanagh, Co. Cavan, on Wednesday evening, February 22nd at 7:00pm.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning, February 23rd at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in the adjoining graveyard.

Death Of Martha Scanlon, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death today, Saturday 18th February, 2023, of Mrs Martha Scanlon (née Moore), Croke Gardens, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Kennedy Park, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her husband Paddy, son-in-law Richie Flynn, sister Kathleen, brothers Seán, Brendan, Jim and Joe; Mrs Scanlon passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by her children Brian, Trish, Shay and Bríd, daughters-in-law Suzy and Elaine, son-in-law Nav, grandchildren Aisling, Ciara, Eimear, Méabh, Muireann, Eesha, Eyrah, Liam and Roisin, great-granddaughter Ailbhe, sister-in-law Lily, nephews, nieces, particularly Martha, Anne, Paddy and Tom, extended relatives, neighbours and cherished friends.

The earthly remains of Mrs Scanlon will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Monday afternoon, February 20th, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm same evening, before being received into the Church of St. Joseph & St. Brigid, Bothar-na-Naomh, Thurles at 7:45pm.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, Feburary 21st, at 10:00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Thursday 16th February 2023, of Mr Jim Dunne, Brittas Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Denis and Bridget, sisters Anne and Bridgie, brothers Denis, John and Billy; Mr Dunne passed away peacefully, while in his 91st year, surrounded by his adoring family, following a short illness.

His passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Josie, children Muire, Ailbe, Grainne, Cormac and Siobháin, grandchildren Saoirse, Aoife, Naoise, Cathal, Ruairí, Róisín and Saorlaith, brother Mick, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, Paudie, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death today, Friday 17th February 2023, of Ms Catherine (Cathy) Shanahan, Sarsfield Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her dad Eamonn; Ms Shanahan passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, while in the care of staff at Padre Pio Nursing Home, Holycross, Thurles and Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her mother Ceppie, brothers Frankie and Brendan, sister Margaret, uncle Frank, aunt Anne, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnieces, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.
