It was with great sadness and regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Wednesday 24th February 2021, of Mr Sean Hickey, Georgespark, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Mr Hickey passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Kathleen; his family Patrick, Kenneth and Nicola, Patrick’s partner Jackie, sister Sheila, brothers Noel, Seamus, Donal and Thomas, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Hickey will repose for Requiem Mass on Saturday morning next, February 27th, at 11:30, in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Gortnahoe, Thurles, followed by interment immediately afterwards in Auglish Cemetery.
For the many persons who would have liked to have attended Requiem Mass for Mr Hickey, but are unable to do so, due to current coronavirus pandemic restrictions; same funeral service can be viewed online HERE.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Wednesday 2nd August 2023, of Mr Jim (James, Seamus) Hickey, Dromore Street, Belfast, Co. Antrim and formerly of Reafadda, Hollyford and Ballagh, Clonoulty, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his parents Tom and Josie and his beloved daughter Niamh; Mr Hickey passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Marie Curie Hospice, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
His passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister Anne, brother-in-law Eddie (Wade), daughters Ailbhe and Deirdre (Barry), son Seamus, their mother Bridie, sons-in-law Brendan and John and grandchildren Seanán, Tom and Alfie, nieces Alma, Joy, Aoife and Grainne, nephews Shane, Eoghan and Eamonn, grandnieces Emily and Ellie Rose, grandnephews Richie, John and Beauden, extended relatives, neighbours, friends and all those who cared for him.

The earthly remains of Mr Hickey will repose at the Chapel of Rest, c/o O’Neill’s Funeral Directors, 98 Stewartstown Road, Belfast, BT11 9JP, from 1:00pm – 5:00pm on tomorrow evening, Friday, August 4th, 2023. The funeral cortège bearing the body of Mr Hickey will journey to Whites Funeral Home, Cappawhite, Co. Tipperary, on Saturday afternoon, August 6th, where he will again repose from 4:00pm until 8:00pm same evening. His remains will be received into the Church of St. Joseph, Clonmurragha, Holyford, Co. Tipperary, to further repose for Requiem Mass on Sunday afternoon, August 6th at 1:00pm.

Predeceased recently by her husband Sean and brothers Marty and Sean; Mrs Hickey passed away peacefully, sadly, at her place of residence, surrounded by her loving family.

It was with sadness that we learned of the death, on Monday 28th January 2019, of Mrs Teresa Hickey (née Carroll), No.27 Kickham Place, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Mrs Hickey passed away peacefully, while in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Elm Park, Co. Dublin.
Her passing is deeply regretted by her loving husband Paddy; sons Thomas, Aidan, Conor, Kevin, Martin and Patrick; daughters Laura, Chloe, Marie and Michaela; brothers Tom, Joe, Louie and Sean; sisters Monica, Mary, Helen and Ann; granddaughter Emily; nieces; nephews; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; extended relatives; neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

The earthly remains of Mrs Hickey will lie in repose at Brett’s Funeral Home, Mullinahone on Thursday evening, January 31st 2019, from 5.00pm, with removal to St. Michael’s Church, Kickham Street, Mullinahone, Thurles, for Rosary at 8.00pm.
Requiem Mass will take place on Friday, February 1st, at 12.00 noon, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Killaghy, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

On Friday May 22nd next, Thurles Lions Club are proud to present “Frankly Sinatra” in the Premier Hall, Thurles, Co Tipperary. This Sinatra Concert will feature Sean Hession together with his six piece band and special guest star Louis Stewart.
Total proceeds from this concert are in aid of two deserving local charities, namely The North Tipperary Hospice and Thurles Boy Scouts.

Few can truly interpret the magic of Francis Albert Sinatra as effectively as Sean Hession. His work to date has been a crusade of heartfelt singing with spellbinding Sinatra similarity.
