It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Sunday 29th May 2022, of Mr William (Billy) Maher, Manseltown, Moyne, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Thurles, Co.Tipperary.
Predeceased by his first wife Mary (née Redahan); Mr Maher passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his heartbroken family; wife Mary, son Pierce, brother Tim (London), nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law J.J. (Kavanagh), Jim (Cummins) and Sean (O’Donovan), sisters-in-law Liz, Patricia, Geraldine and Enda, cousins, especially the Maher’s of Two-Mile-Borris and the Maher’s of Cooleeney, extended relatives, good neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Maher will repose at his place of residence on tomorrow evening, Tuesday, May 31st, from 5:00pm to 8.00pm (please arrive via Ballyduff).
His body will be received into the Church of St. Mary, Moyne, Thurles on Wednesday morning, June 1st, at 10:30am to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am.
Interment will take place immediately afterwards in nearby St. Mary’s Cemetery, Moyne, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service for Mr Maher, but due to distance or ill health are unable to do so, same can be viewed online HERE.

Very sorry to hear of Billy’s passing. My sincere condolences to Mary and all the Maher family on their sad loss.
Billy, you a were a gentleman and a great friend and neighbour to my late grandparents Bridie and Joe Forrestall. I’ve many lovely memories of Billy, especially around strawberry picking Time. Rest easy auld stock.
