Death Of Bill Rourke, Thurles, Co. Tipperary

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Saturday 14th November 2020, of Mr William (Bill) Rourke, Monadreen, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Mount Temple, Co. Westmeath.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Josie and brothers Edward (Ned), Joe and Seamus; Mr Rourke, (Retired Garda Síochána) passed away, while in the care of staff at Craddock House Nursing Home, Naas, Co. Kildare.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving children Celine, Declan, Fergus, Colm and Áine; sisters Mary and Rosaleen; brother Jack; son and daughters-in-law; grandchildren; nieces; nephews; extended relatives; neighbours and friends.

Requiescat in Pace.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Rourke will repose for Requiem Mass in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles on Tuesday morning next, November 17th, at 11:00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

[Note: Due to national Public Health Guidelines regarding Covid-19 virus restrictions; attendance within the Cathedral building will be limited to 25 persons only, with strict adherence to social distancing and face covering please.]

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended Requiem Mass for Mr Rourke, but are unable to do so, due to coronavirus restrictions, same funeral service can be viewed online HERE.
