10 further killer Covid-19 virus cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary

The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 6 further deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,978.

There are 456 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 67,526.

Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 10 are located in Co. Tipperary (Total 1,346 cases to date, per RTE summary); 151 in Dublin; 38 in Limerick; 27 in Cork; 27 in Donegal; 27 in Galway; with the remaining 176 cases located across 19 other counties.

Other COVID-19 News:
Professor Philip Nolan has stated that Ireland would have been facing 150 Covid-19 related deaths a month and at least 1,200 people in hospital had the country continued to remain at Level 3 restrictions.

Currently, there are 254 confirmed cases of Covid-19 recorded nationally in our Irish State hospitals, with 32 of these patients in intensive care units, (ICU’s).

The Department of Health in Northern Ireland have announced that a further 10 people have died from Covid-19 virus. An additional 511 new cases of the virus have also been confirmed in the north, 39 of whom are on ventilators.

Total global cases this evening, now stand at well over 53.5 million [Global Cases – 53,661,954] with global deaths at over 1.30 million [Global Deaths – 1,307,068].
